It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to the Mid-Term CME, going to be held on the 4th and 5th of February 2023 at AIIMS Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The CME is organized by the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology under the aegis of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG).
The theme of the CME is ‘Upper GI disorders: Minimally Invasive Approach and Controversies.’ Reduction of intervention-related trauma by laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and robotic approaches, has led to the increased acceptability of surgery for various upper GI diseases like achalasia cardia, hiatal hernia, corrosive strictures, oesophageal cancer, gastric cancer, etc. In this CME, we want to focus on the safe conduct of standard surgical procedures through a Surgical Video Workshop by the National experts in the field and debate the grey areas in decision-making. This CME would be useful for practicing general surgeons, surgical gastroenterologists, surgical oncologists, and trainees.
Jodhpur, the ‘blue city’ of Rajasthan, is very pleasant to visit in February, with multiple tourist attractions like Mehrangarh fort, Umaid Bhawan palace, Jaswant Thada, etc. We invite one and all to participate actively and benefit from this CME, as well as enjoy the sweet hospitality of Jodhpur.

• Registrations cancelled 2 weeks before the conference will be eligible for 75% refund of fees excluding service tax.
